Hi. I spoke to a person in Mumbai who also has couple of plots in Vinoth Town Part 1. Mentioned that his enquiries about 6 months ago indicated that the area in general has been surveyed by the Govt. with a view to acquire the same. Can you people throw any light on this aspect of acquisition ?
Hi friends, I am Ramanathan from Chennai. I am having a piece of land in Sriperumbutur's Vinoth Town, Part 1. I bought it ten years back when I was in delhi. I bought this land clossing my eyes because I believed VGP was a trusted brand. Now after so many years, the place has not seen much of an appreciation. Above all, SIPCOT's acquisition's fear is looming large. Land grabbers are on the prowl to swallow the land by spreading false information. As for as I know, the first phase of acquisiton is over and govt has no plans to go for second phase of land grabbing for big industrial units. So, the best place to get all information is the SIPCOT office, whch is situated at the Sri.. Town. Hi friends, I too own a property here. I checked through someone in Sriperumbudur and the person confirms that the property in Vinothtown is identified for acquisition by SIPCOT. According, to the source, it is not possible to obtain a PATTA at this stage and SIPCOT would send notices shortly. Can anyone check and confirm this news. I would request those who own a property in Vinoth Town and are residing in Chennai to help out. I am in Mumbai and it is quite impossible for me to figure out the current status.

I want the plot with atleast 50 Feet Road frontage.
I am looking around 60000 Sq feet. I am planning to use it for Truck Maintenance, Henc frontage is important.
Please let me know the guideline value also of that area because there are many steps taken by Goverment in the Past to include the land to the SIPCOT. Hence I need to have minimum loss.

Have viewed on Google Maps and seen a fair amount of development in the area around.
But the VGP Vinoth Town Phase 3 seems empty with mud roads. Not sure whether it is indeed Phase 3, but someone has put a location flag there
Have visited Phase 3 (using location flag mentioned in the previous post) on 3rd Oct 2024, and found that only a few plot marker stones remain, and fewer still have numbers visible on them. Could finally locate just one marker for my plot, instead of the expected four.
One cause for concern is that the lake shore seems much nearer to plot area than expected ...
Have got Google coordinates for a few numbered stones, 596, 612, 631, 632, 648 and labelled them on Google maps as 'VTP3-nnn'.

I saw a numberof VGP Vinodh Town boards, but with the Phase Number line blacked out in every case. This, together with the fact that so many marker stones are missing or without numbers, may indicate some level of unwanted activity in the area.
A number of multi storey building have come up or nearing construction in the surrounding area. But Phase 3 itself seems to be completely empty as of now
